Attorneys across K&L Gates' Litigation practice — including its Commercial, Labor & Employment, and Intellectual Property litigation groups — will now have access to DepoSim, the AI-powered deposition simulator developed in partnership with Verbit.
K&L Gates holds a unique place in AltaClaro's history as AltaClaro's very first Am Law client in 2019, and the two organizations have collaborated across multiple product initiatives in the years since. Most recently, K&L Gates served as one of six firms in AltaClaro's DepoSim Design Partner Program, with attorneys at varying levels piloting the beta version and providing feedback that helped shape the platform's commercial release. The firm's Artificial Intelligence Solutions Group, Professional Development Team, and Litigation Practice jointly led its participation in the program.
The relationship also spans several AltaClaro product lines. K&L Gates previously worked with AltaClaro to develop Guiding Effective Use of GenAI, a supervisory course for law firm partners, and was also an early adopter of Benchmark360, AltaClaro's AI-powered feedback technology for simulated written work product in substantive training courses.

AI agents take on the roles of witness, opposing counsel, and court reporter, allowing attorneys to build practical skills through repeatable, on-demand training that concludes with structured, rubric-based feedback within minutes. DepoSim includes case files across Commercial, Employment, IP, and Antitrust Litigation. Future releases will introduce more specialties and simulations in other areas, including direct and cross examinations, mooting, oral arguments and hearings, and negotiations.
