Building on the technical focus of its Fundamentals of Prompt Engineering for Lawyers course, AltaClaro’s supervisory course focuses on higher-level leadership and management training.
This first-of-its-kind training program was developed in collaboration with global law firm K&L Gates. The program is specifically designed to equip partners and managers in law firms and in-house legal departments with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively oversee the use of Generative AI (GenAI) by their teams–including leading-edge guidance for complying with the ABA’s recent formal opinion on the ethical use of GenAI.
Included in those rules are a Duty of Competence, which emphasizes the need for lawyers to stay abreast of technological advancements, and a Duty to Supervise, which outlines professional conduct standards expected in AI supervision. This program helps attorneys and firms fulfill their professional and ethical obligations.

It doesn't simulate the mechanics of a real deposition, doesn't maintain consistent witness behavior tied to case facts, and can't provide structured feedback against a legal training rubric. DepoSim is purpose-built for deposition training: it uses specialized and grounded AI agents (witness, opposing counsel, court reporter) grounded in realistic case files and exhibits, and delivers objective feedback on specific skills like questioning strategy, objection handling, exhibit management, and composure under pressure.
Yes. Witness and opposing counsel behavior can be fine-tuned along multiple dimensions. Firms can "dial the difficulty" up or down, simulating everything from a cooperative witness to a hostile deponent or aggressive opposing counsel.
The DepoSim architecture is built on a secure, private infrastructure that uses Verbit’s servers for transcription and calls commercial LLMs exclusively via secure APIs, preventing any customer-specific data from leaking into public training sets. Associate performance data is also not used for model training.
DepoSim provides targeted visibility into associate performance. Firms will be able to choose their level of access to analytics on an associate’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing for data-driven mentoring while maintaining internal confidentiality.
The current roadmap includes specialized modules for Commercial Litigation, Employment Law, Intellectual Property (Patent), and Construction/Real Estate. The engine is extensible and designed to support a number of different scenarios, cases, and witnesses.
