Following Atlaclaro's recent launch of DepoSim, Stephanie Wilkins of Legaltech News published a feature on the AI-powered deposition simulatort. As part of her review, Wilkins conducted a full simulated deposition on the platform.
She selected a hostile witness persona, navigated objections from opposing counsel, marked exhibits, and worked from the provided outline before receiving a structured feedback report evaluating her performance.
Her assessment:
“The immersive nature of the simulation … was as close as one can get to taking an actual deposition.”
In her article, Wilkins detailed how DepoSim integrates Verbit’s verbal intelligence engine — including speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and responsive AI agents — with AltaClaro’s simulation design and rubric-based evaluation framework. It highlighted the platform’s customizable personas, repeatable simulations, transcript generation, and structured performance tracking.
Wilkins referenced results from the five-week Early Adopter Program, during which six firms logged more than 160 hours on the platform. In post-program surveys, 97% strongly agreed it is valuable for litigation training, and 94% indicated they would use it again.
The coverage underscored a broader shift in legal training: using AI not only to support legal work, but to develop core advocacy skills through immersive, repeatable practice.
